Vision

Our vision for Reconciliation Church is to bring the glory of Jesus Christ to all of Raleigh and beyond through the disciples of our congregation.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Matthew 28:19-20

Values

We proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We rely on the gospel to lead our church, recognizing its ability to bring spiritual transformation, inspire meaningful relationships, and guide us toward a purposeful life in service to God and others. We continuously strive to deepen our understanding of the Gospel, apply its teachings to our daily lives, and share its life-changing power with all who seek truth and a meaningful connection with God.

We believe in cultivating and nurturing disciples.

We understand that true transformation in our wider Raleigh community begins with the growth and development of disciples within our church. By investing in our congregation’s spiritual formation and equipping them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and guidance, we empower disciples to become agents of change in their jobs, homes, relationships, and in other communities that extend beyond us.

We believe the work of gospel proclamation touches and impacts the whole person.

We firmly believe that as disciples grow in their understanding of the Gospel and mature in their faith, they become catalysts for positive change in the world. By living out the values and teachings of Jesus, disciples are equipped to address societal issues, combat any injustice, extend mercy and compassion to the marginalized, and promote reconciliation in divided communities.

Affiliation

We belong to the Presbyterian Church in America. As a denomination, we are faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission. We are an evangelical denomination in that we proclaim the Gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. As a Presbyterian denomination, we have a representative form of church government. Our local church is governed by a “Session” comprised of elders elected by the congregation. Pastors and elders of local churches in a region form a “Presbytery.” Representatives of Presbyteries and local churches meet annually at a “General Assembly.”
